Stop and secure the press
Follow the manufacturer’s shutdown and lockout procedure. Never hand-clean moving press components.
Remove loose residue
Collect excess ink and paper dust with an appropriate lint-free wipe before applying more chemistry.
Use a compatible blanket wash
Match the product to the ink and blanket construction. Apply a controlled amount and avoid flooding the edges.
Avoid excessive abrasion
Use a clean wipe and change its face frequently. Heavy scrubbing can polish the surface and alter ink transfer.
Inspect after evaporation
Check for uniformity, streaks, swelling and damage. If contamination returns, inspect pressure, stock, ink and cleaning frequency.
